About the band

We are MINDKILL, a five-piece metal band from Dormagen, Germany.
Our sound blends death metal with thrashy and hardcore elements and a hint of classic heavy metal. Our genre? Honestly — we have no idea, and we like it that way.

Since the band’s founding in 2010, MINDKILL has been shaped by a wide range of musical influences. We don’t believe in limiting ourselves to one direction; instead, we stay open to new ideas and styles, wherever they come from. If we had to name a few inspirations, you’d find Obituary, Sodom, Amon Amarth, Dark Tranquillity, Machine Head, and many others in the mix.

We may not be in our twenties anymore, but MINDKILL hits harder than ever. Our music is layered, aggressive, and energetic. Each member brings years of stage and studio experience, giving the band a tight, mature, and powerful sound.

The Line-Up

Jens – Vocals
A founding member of MINDKILL, Jens has been a frontman for over 20 years. Once rooted more in rock and lighter metal, he now unleashes a much heavier and more aggressive vocal style. Age might not be on his side — but energy definitely is. On stage, he gives everything.

Markus – Guitar
With years of band experience behind him, Markus constantly delivers new riffs that eventually evolve into MINDKILL songs. Highly present on stage and loving every minute of it, he lives for the live experience and plays every gig as if it were the last.

Patrick – Guitar
The second founding member and the source of many of our riffs. Patrick has had a guitar in his hands for as long as anyone can remember — and refuses to put it down. Also, let’s be honest: every real metal band needs at least one guy with long hair. Patrick proudly fills that role.

Ojay – Bass
What else is there besides music? Ojay plays in at least two bands and handles the bass like no one else. His favorite drink, Krombacher beer, is kept chilled right next to his bass. Priorities.

Darius – Drums
Some call him “Mr. Metronome,” others “The Beast.” With years of band experience and a musical connection to Jens dating back to their youth, Darius delivers relentless precision behind the kit. He travels from Bonn to Dormagen on a regular basis — because good metal is worth the trip.
